How will I know when it's time for another Solensia injection?

Is Solensia safe for my cat?

Yes. Solensia is safe for cats, but a conversation with your vet is the best way to confirm Solensia is right for your cat. For example, Solensia should not be used in cats who have a sensitivity to the active ingredient, frunevetmab. Solensia also shouldn't be used in cats who are pregnant, breeding, or lactating. The most common side effects that occurred in the clinical studies were vomiting and injection site pain.

Can my cat receive Solensia while they're on another medication?

Allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, could potentially occur with self-injection. Solensia should not be used in breeding cats or in pregnant or lactating queens. Solensia should not be administered to cats with known allergy to frunevetmab. The most common adverse events reported in a clinical study were vomiting and injection site pain.
